???? Kirklin residents, please be aware that hydrant flushing will be taking place throughout the town today and tomorrow, July 10 & 11.
Why is hydrant flushing important? Hydrant flushing is a crucial part of our water system maintenance. It helps to:
- Ensure water quality by removing sediment and mineral buildup from water lines.
- Maintain proper water pressure.
- Verify that fire hydrants are functioning correctly for emergency situations.
- You may experience temporary fluctuations in water pressure or discoloration (rust or brown color) during and after flushing in your area.
- If you notice discolored water, run your cold water tap until it clears up.
- If discoloration persists, please contact the superintendent at 765-209-2655.
- Please bypass your water softener or filter during flushing to avoid drawing any sediment into your system.
- Check your water before doing laundry to ensure it is clear.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to maintain the quality and reliability of our water system.
